Matthew Garrick
A writer and radio broadcaster by love and by trade. In recent times Matthew has been perched in the centre of Vilnius, Lithuania, writing business news for the only english newspaper serving the Baltic Region, The Baltic Times.
He has worked previously as a print journalist in Western Australia, on newspapers the Albany Advertiser and the Great Southern Herald, where he published articles including front-page features, news, sports, arts, Aboriginal issues and a story about a chicken being washed away in floods. He is also a well-trodden radio broadcaster, having worked in stations from Canberra to the Kimberley, in Australia, the latter of which where he has spoken to the like of ex-PM Kevin Rudd and band The Hoodoo Gurus.
He has in recent times flummoxed around with German language, mispronouncing his way through work on radio stations Freies Radio in Stuttgart and HR3, in Frankfurt, Germany. With his fingers prodding into each corner of the proverbial pie, this multi-media hound has also written and collaborated on a number of short films, in roles such as sound operator, production assisstant, and writer.
